A Day In Mexico City With My Class

Yesterday I had the privilege of going to Mexico City AGAIN with my class. We went to 2 museums - Museo Rufino Tamayo and Museo de Arte Moderno. Both were really cool, but I think I enjoyed the modern art museum better because that had art that was more my style. It had super famous works from Diego Rivera and Frida Khalo among many others. It was cool to see such famous art pieces in person within your reach! The Rufino Tamayo art museum had a lot of conceptual art and art that I just don't really understand or care for that much. But to each their own. Some of the conceptual art I found quite funny, so I took pictures of it :)
Life is going great in my new house still with my new host family. Something I enjoy is free range in the kitchen, so today for breakfast I made myself a bacon and cheese omelet. It was delightful. And my host mom had made these little bar things too- they reminded me a lot of Baklava, which is ALWAYS good. Who knew that one would be Baklava tasting things in Mexico? I know I didn't.
Today I'm meeting with my friends Leslie (my now roomie) and Amelie because we are finalizing spring break plan stuff. Can't wait for spring break! I never go anywhere warm or super cool for spring break so this is a first and I'm so excited!
It's a beautiful day here in Mexico as per usual. Sunny and super warm. It's like I get 10 months of summer it seems like, but I don't mind that. I do mind it when I have to walk around in the hot sun during the day though. But, there is a pool for this colony to use, so I'll have to take advantage of that real quick!
That's all for now. Enjoy the pictures!
Hasta luego!

This picture and the rest are taken at the Museo de arte moderno - the museum I liked the most.

taken at the anthropology museum, unfortunately we ran out of time, so we didn't even get to go into this museum, so I just snapped a shot of this cool picture.
